Wedding Anniversary Tips

Wedding Anniversaries

come around once a year. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the loving marriage. However, sometimes it can be hard to make the anniversary the best it can be. These days, married couples are looking for more than just a dinner served with red roses.

A Social Gathering

at a private home, possibly catered, is a great way to appreciate the bond between a married couple. Guests come by invitation only, while a band plays music for entertainment. Speeches are made, to congratulate the couple as well as amuse them. Games and contests can be held as more entertainment for the guests.

A Ski Trip

is a great way to escape the noisy city and enjoy nature’s peace together with your partner. It is the perfect romantic getaway due to the beautiful, mountainous Ski Resorts located in Northern Ontario or even Europe! Take a whole day to ski and enjoy the magnificent scenery nature has to provide. Nothing beats nature’s beauty and all it’s glory; it is a truly stunning sight! Enjoy a cozy log cabin in the forest and sit by the warm fire at night, sipping hot chocolate and nibbling on chocolate cake!

Learning to Dance

can be a great way to strengthen the relationship. Marriage is all about connecting with each other and growing stronger together. Time should be spent with each other; it helps bond the two. Learning to dance can be the start of a whole new hobby that both partners can enjoy doing together! Furthermore, both partners will be capable to dance. This makes going to parties and other social events less stressful!

Anniversary Party Decorations

There are various decoration options that you can make use of, depending on whether the party is an indoor party or an outdoor party. If you are in the midst of the rainy season, you would be advised to have an indoor party unless you are absolutely certain about a clear weather forecast for that particular day well in advance. Outdoor parties do provide a slightly larger scope for the type, variety and amount of decoration possible, so generally people do prefer outdoor parties over indoor ones.

Flowers: This is a must-have regardless of the party location and theme. If you plan to have a special walkway at the entrance, you could consider decorating it with a combination of roses, red rose petals, white carnations, tulips, orchids and lilies. You could think of welcoming all your guests with a whiff of fresh fragrance by lining the walkway with a few scented flowers. Find out what flowers the anniversary couple likes well in advance. Order these flowers in sufficient quantities and arrange them in a centerpiece, as well as on the table where the couple will be seated. If there is a stage or a stairway, you can line the steps with a combination of red, pink and orange rose petals.

Balloons: Who says balloons are only meant for kids? They always manage to add that extra bit of color to a party and in the process, enhance the overall ambience. Balloons are available in varieties of shapes, colors and sizes so you have plenty of options to choose from, depending on your party theme. Make a separate bunch of red heart-shaped hot air balloons and tie them securely to a chair in the far corner. You can have the anniversary couple release this bunch of balloons into the sky after they cut the anniversary cake. In addition to the above, use medium-sized rubber balloons in colors of green, lavender and orange to decorate the remaining areas. You can spread a few of them randomly on the floor and you can also paste a few on the surrounding tree leaves, chair backs, table corners, etc.
